With her very first hit, “This Will Be,” Natalie Cole served notice that she wasn’t merely the daughter of a musical legend and one of the greatest voices in music history, she was paving her own path as a singer and performer.
Sadly, she lost her dad when she was only 15-years old, and Nat ‘King’ Cole never experienced the success of his baby girl.
Just a month ago, on New Years Eve, Natalie passed away , at age 65, after having enjoyed huge success with hits like “I’ve Got Love On My Mind.”
In 1992, she walked away with Grammy awards for “Album Of The Year” and “Record Of The Year” when technology joined Natalie and her famous father together singing a title that is truly befitting for both of them: “Unforgettable.
