In just the past few months the music world has had to say goodbye to Glenn Frey, David
Bowie, Natalie Cole, Merle Haggard and yesterday the death of Prince has left millions
shocked and saddened.

A Boomer who was born June 7, 1958 Prince Rogers Nelson was a genius in every sense of what that entails. Songwriter, singer, performer, played all sorts of instruments and for any of us fortunate to have witnessed him in concert, absolutely captivating. High energy from the first note to the last he left it all on the stage.

Prince was inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004 with a dedication that so perfectly summed up his career and influence. “He rewrote the rulebook, forging a synthesis of black funk and white rock that served as a blueprint for cutting-edge music in the Eighties. Prince made Dance music that rocked and Rock music that had a bristling, funky backbone.  From the beginning, Prince and his music were androgynous, sly, sexy, and provactive.”

At 5′ 2″ he was a giant who will be missed but his contributions never forgotten. R.I.P
