Although he’s only been big on the music scene since 2014, young, virile, handsome Country star Sam Hunt has already racked up four #1 hits and has millions of fans, and not just Country fans, as he also appeals to Pop audiences.

“Body Like a Back Road” belongs to the Country music sub-genre of songs that are cheery, grateful or humble, wrapped in a down-home-small-town persona.  As in:

Got a girl from the Southside, got braids in her hair
First time I seen her walk by, man I’bout fell up out of my chair
Had to get her number, it took me like six weeks
Now me and her go way back like Cadillac seats

Similar to 1991’s “Life Is A Highway” by Canadian singer/songwriter Tom Cochrane.  Different messages, similar melodies  Although it’s hokey,  “”Body Like A Back Road” has its charms;  it’s currently #1 Country and  #27 on Pop.

In 2015, Boomer Music Update featured Hunt’s “Take Your Time,” also a #1 Country hit that received significant Adult Top 40 airplay.  https://boomermusicupdate.com/pop/sam-hunt-aerosmith-yes/
