The official kick off of the 2018 college football season is just two weeks away, an opportune time for both fans of football and rock n roll, because the anthem for ESPN’s coverage of this years NCAA collegiate gridiron will be “Natural” by Imagine Dragons, the latest release from these multi-award winning Las Vegas pop-rockers.
Can you guess that “Natural” has a hard-driving, thrusting, throbbing, guitar-smashing sound….I mean–isn’t that why ESPN chose it…
It’s been getting radio air-play for less than a month, and it’s already one of the five most played tracks on Alternative stations followed closely by its quick climb on the Adult Top 40 chart.
“Natural” packs the power of 1979’s rocker, “Renegade,” by Styx, which, coincidentally, had it’s own pigskin connection — it was played to fire up the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive players.
