White Reaper, a five member “alternative” band from Louisville, Kentucky that’s generating enough buzz to spark a record label bidding war, has a Top 20 Alt single with “Might Be Right,” which is also generating exposure on the Adult Alt front.
The title, “Might be Right,” links well to “You May Be Right,” one of Billy Joel’s many early ‘80s Top-40 hits, but with an an alternative rock twist vs. Joel’s pop style.
The lyrics to “Might Be Right” don’t make much sense, but that’s OK, because what we like is that Billy Joel vibe and intensity—East coast bouncy.
