Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, bringing with it the possibility of a “summer romance” or, in the case of this new song, the memory of a past summer romance—the one where the girl got away.
I hear that song, the one we sang all summer long
and even though its been so long it brings me back,
right back to you
Brothers TJ and John Osborne’s newest is “21 Summer,” their first since last year’s number one Grammy nominated “Stay A Little Longer.”
It’s a solid, middle-of-the-road traditional but not twangy Country song that isn’t sad enough to have you crying in your beer, but is tender enough that we Boomers, who have had lots of summers, both with and without love, can feel a pang of nostalgia, if not for a the one that got away, than for all the summer adventures that we’ve had.
The Brothers Osborne, who have been together since 2013, have had three previous singles.
T.J. is the lead singer and John plays lead guitar.
