Miranda Lambert released her newest, long awaited single last week and within hours “Vice” was number one on i-tunes, and embraced by Country radio.
Lambert is the kind of woman who can sing these lyrics and and convince you it’s true. She has a big voice and she’s gorgeous– an irresistible badass.
I’ll wear a town like a leather jacket
When the new wears off, I don’t even pack it
If you like that much attitude with your country music, this is a song for you.
another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of
At 7AM with shoes in my hand
Said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again
“Vice” is fast paced, loud, polished, and while it is definitely, Country it also sounds like a rock song. It’s got a non-traditional woman’s point of view: it’s more common that woman strive to be nice but in this case, adding more vices to the mix is what she does. Lots and lots of vices.
The elephant in the room: The tabloids infatuation with Lambert’s recent divorce from Blake Shelton, who is now an item with Gwen Stefani, who was recently divorced from her husband, Gavin Rossdale of Bush. Can’t make this stuff up.
