Country’s Luke Comb’s mid-tempo and romantic “Forever After All,” which has already racked up the most first day streams on Apple Music and broke a Spotify record for the most streams in one day for a solo Country artist, is #28 on this week’s music chart, and it’s a testament to the very happily married Combs’ belief that this union will last, and be happy, forever.
Of course, we wish him well, however, we can’t help but notice that Combs is just 31 years old, (his wife is 28), and that they just got married last year, so his “forever” has a long way to go.
Well, they say nothing lasts forever,
But they ain’t seen us together
22 years ago, Kenny Chesney had “forever” in his sights, too, albeit with a much more lighthearted approach. He was ready to give up the single life and find out “How Forever Feels.” (IRL, he had a short marriage to actress Renee Zellweger, which ended quietly and quickly.)
Last year, Combs was named “Entertainer of The Year” by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music and he’s nominated again in that category by the ACM.
