Dave’s pick for this week’s “Whatever” is DYNAMITE.  Definitely rated a “must listen to.”

The group is “Houndmouth,” and the song is “Sedona.” Dave thought it was so good he just had to tell you about it, and I’m glad he did.

Their genre is alt/roots/folk-ish/Americana.  It’s hard to find on the radio, but has a following, just the same.

Some have made comparisons to “The Band.”  It’s stone rock, with great hooks, lyrics, and melody– just about perfect.  Even if it’s not to your taste, you can still appreciate its quality, elegance and class.  An obvious “cut above.”

NPR did a long, windy Rolling Stone-style story about “Houndmouth” a few months ago.  http://www.npr.org/2015/03/08/390719396/first-listen-houndmouth-little-neon-limelight

What I know:  3-guys, 1-girl, all white, from Indiana.  They’re bubbling under the surface.  Dave is wired in, he knows what’s happening before it happens.
