Paul McCartneys’ “My Love,” his tribute to first wife, Linda, is an honest, sincere, well-crafted love song, as is Adam Levine and Maroon 5’s “Nobody’s Love,” the band’s follow-up to “Memories,” which was one of last year’s biggest pop successes.

You could make a grown man cry
If you ever said “Goodbye”

You could make a grown man cry
If you ever left my side

You’re the only hand in my back pocket
If you ever left, I’d go psychotic

It’s plaintive and passionate, with a tight, fast tempo, unlike  the tender and slow “My Love.”   Within two hours of its late July release, the “Nobody’s Love” video generated almost three hundred thousand views, instant radio air-play and acceptance on all music platforms.  Currently it’s charting #14 on Top 40 and #12 on Adult Top 40.

Whatever:  The video opens with Levine rolling a joint, which he smokes throughout the song.  At the end, there’s a plea for decriminalizing marijuana use.
