Boomer Music Update has shouted and showered praise on Charlie Puth since “One Call Away,” his irresistibly smooth and sophisticated  2015 debut hit.   https://boomermusicupdate.com/top-40/charlie-puth-sinatra-millennial-generation/

Puth’s new album hasn’t even officially dropped yet (it’s scheduled for next month) and he’s already gotten  two Top 40 and Adult Top 40 hit singles from it, and here comes the third, “Done For Me,” featuring Grammy nominated R&B soulstress Kehlani.

“Done For Me” is a lovers quarrel, as in “look how much I’ve done for you…what have you ‘done for me?’”

“Done For Me” brings to mind “Steal Away” (1980) by first wave Baby Boomer Robbie Dupree–the two songs have similar melodic touches. Dupree was in his early 30s when he became a Best New Artist Grammy nominee.

Puth is 26-years old and has it all: Singer/songwriter/producer par excellence, a first-rate stylist, handsome, sharp dresser, a charmer.

We’ll say it again:  We love Charlie Puth.
