Boomers,  you may not instantly recognize the name Zayn Malik,  but your children and/or your grand-kids surely will since he was a member of the superstar boy band One Direction.

Now he’s a solo act, under just the name Zayn, with  his debut album “Mind Of Mine”  set for release at the end of March.

The album’s first single, “Pillow Talk,” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #1  and is just now generating massive airplay on Top 40 radio, paving the way for the song to become one of the biggest pop hits of 2016.

And in just one listen you’ll know why this song could cause a listening frenzy, as both the video and the lyrics are NSFW, very steamy, naked ladies and all that, but it does a good job of observing one of life’s great mysteries– sexual attraction– as this line succinctly, and with insight, describes spending all day in bed with his lover:

“It’s our paradise and it’s our war zone.”

Zayn is  23 years-old.  He was an original member of  One Direction, an English band that sold over 50 million records between 2013 and 2015, and had four #1 albums in a row.
