21 years ago Euro dance group ATC, aka A Touch Of Class, reached number one in their native Germany with “All Around the World (la la la la la la la la)” a peppy dance track that also reached hit status in several other European markets, even though it barely made the Top 30 in the U.S.
Fast forward to now: Milwaukee based dance/pop queen Ava Max’s newest, “My Head & My Heart,” also a peppy Euro-style dance tune, includes snippits of the original “All Around the World (la la la la la la la la)”, done in her own voice. In addition to lots of la la la, the lyrics to “My Head & My Heart” are wonderfully all over the place, a jumble of insight and babble.
Max could be heading for a trifecta: her last release, “Kings & Queens” reached #1 on both Top 40 and Adult Top 40 and her 2019 debut single “Sweet But Psycho” was also a hit–as of today, it’s gotten over 670 MILLION YouTube views!

“My Head & My Heart” got immediate radio airplay, on both Top 40, where it’s charting at #15, and on Adult Top 40, at #23.
