More than 50-years ago, Bob Seger met, bonded and began a lifelong personal friendship and professional collaboration* with fellow Detroiter and Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, who died two years ago yesterday.
Seger’s 18th album, “I Knew You When” (released in November, 2017) was inspired by Frey, who sang background vocals on the title track.
Seeger’s fans will be happy to know what his “Runaway Train” tour, which was postponed last year, due to surgery, resumes later in 2018.
Included on the current album is a little known Lou Reed song “Busload Of Faith.”
*Seger co-wrote “Heartache Tonight,” one of The Eagles biggest hits.
