It’s not the actual ’68 “Comeback Special” but this 2-hour “Elvis All-Star Tribute” promises to have the look and feel of that legendary show.
Sunday night at 9P ET/PT NBC.
Blake Shelton hosts, with appearances and comments from both Priscilla Presley and daughter Lisa Maria. Featured performances include Country and pop stars ranging from Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban to Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, John Fogerty, Jennifer Lopez and many others.
Also, today is the release date of a new Elvis album: “The Best Of The ’68 Comeback Special.” It includes 15 Presley performances, plus a new version of “If I Can Dream,” with Elvis’ original vocals along with those of Shawn Mendes, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and hip hop star Post Malone.
The “If I Can Dream” version, below is not shown as often as the one of him singing the same song in the white suit, but the black leather fits the mood, and he really gives it his all
