Today is the release of “John Fogerty–50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks.”

Recorded last June, it includes his “Fortunate Son,” a Creedence Clearwater Revival  hit  that touched a national nerve 50- years ago, at the height of the Vietnam War, with this famous line that speaks more to class warfare that to actual war:

“it ain’t me, it ain’t me, I ain’t no senator’s son.”

In honor of Veterans Day,  which is Monday, the full Red Rocks concert footage will be screened  at select movie theaters nationwide.

Fogerty has been a solo performer since the early 1970’s. He is 74 years old.
