Drop everything or set up the DVR, because one of the most recognizable personalities and iconic entertainers of the 20th century, whose global impact still resonates today, is finally getting his due: “Elvis Presley: The Searcher” is, according to Priscilla Presley, “the definitive Elvis bio.”
This three-hour, two-film HBO presentation is a journey from Elvis’ childhood in Tupelo, MS through his final 1976 recording sessions in his Graceland studio.
There have been other Elvis specials but this one this promises new interviews and never-before-seen film footage and photos.
Sometimes we forget how handsome, talented and charismatic Elvis was: all those hits, all that energy—this could be the documentary that he deserves.
