Hard to believe, but Madonna turned 60-years old yesterday.

She’s one of the most influential pop-culture taste makers and trend-setters of our Baby Boom generation…an almost 40-year career in the spotlight, dozens of hits, millions of fans, worldwide recognition, listed in the Guinness World Records as the best selling female recording artist of all time, also famous for her over-the-top live performances with their groundbreaking set pieces, provocative costumes, and her dazzling and precise dance moves.

She’s still a bad ass, and she’s currently working on a new album, influenced by her move to Portugal (where she now lives).

Madonna was 26-years old in1984 when “Like A Virgin” was a hit.  The oldest Boomer was 38; the youngest was 21.

On Aug. 16, 1977, Elvis Presley the “King of Rock & Roll” died and on this same date, 2018, Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul” passed away.  Two larger than life talents that influenced and helped shape the soundtrack of American culture for generations.
