Remember “Get Together,” the Youngbloods 4+ minute peace  and love anthem that went nowhere in 1967 when it was first released,  but hit top 5 when it was re-released in 1969 –a time period of national political unrest, similar to today (minus Covid-19)?

It’s been re-recorded–a new version, with Youngblood’s lead singer Jesse Colin Young and featuring Steve Miller, two rock icons with a 50-year friendship, and the Berklee College of music touring band, which includes Young’s son Tristan.

The song is part of the WhyHunger’s SongAid campaign and is available for streaming; proceeds benefit WhyHunger’s Rapid Response Fund, helping those struggling with pandemic related hunger and poverty.
